    Tominos Hell

This is a popular Japanese story, it is about a poem called "Tomino's Hell." They say that you should only read with your mind, and never out loud. If you were to read it out loud, then you must take responsibility for your actions. "Tomino's Hell" (トミノの地獄) is written by Yomota Inuhiko (四方田 犬彦) in a book called "The Heart is Like a Rolling Stone" (心は転がる石のように), And was included in Saizo Yaso's (西條 八十) 27th collection of poems in 1919. It's not sure how this rumor started, but there's only a warning that, "If you read this poem out loud, tragic things (凶事) will happen." It just looks like a curse. It asks to not compare this with the common "You'll grow taller" or even "My parents died." Do you get a sense of how dangerous this is?
This story used to be very popular in 2ch, and there were many people taking pictures and videos as proof and posting them on 2ch. There were many users that said that nothing happened, but there were also many posts that didn't have the user come back to post the results. I think it's scarier than someone posting that someone else got sick or that someone else passed away. But if you were to read it out loud, it's better to read it in Japanese rather than the translation.

    Tomino no Jigoku (Tomino's Hell)

    ---
    Saijo Yaso

ane wa chi wo haku, imoto wa hibaku,
His older sister vomited blood, his younger sister vomited fire,

kawaii tomino wa tama wo haku
And the cute Tomino vomited glass beads.

    hitori jigoku ni ochiyuku tomino,
    Tomino fell into Hell alone,

    jigoku kurayami hana mo naki.
Hell is wrapped in darkness and even the flowers don't bloom.

muchi de tataku wa tomino no ane ka,
Is the person with the whip Tomino's older sister,

muchi no shubusa ga ki ni kakaru.
I wonder whose blood is on it?

    tatakeya tatakiyare tatakazu totemo,
    Hit, hit, without hitting,

    mugen jigoku wa hitotsu michi.
    Infinite Hell's one road.

kurai jigoku e anai wo tanomu,
Would you lead him to the dark Hell,

kane no hitsuji ni, uguisu ni.
To the sheep of gold, to the bush warbler.

kawa no fukuro niya ikura hodo ireyo,
Fit as much as you can into the leather sack,

    mugen jigoku no tabijitaku.
For the preparation of the journey in the familiar Hell.

haru ga kite soro hayashi ni tani ni,
Spring is coming even in the forest and the stream,

    kurai jigoku tani nana magari.
Even in the seven valley streams of the dark Hell.

kago niya uguisu, kuruma niya hitsuji,
The bush warbler in the birdcage, the sheep in the wagon,

kawaii tomino no me niya namida.
Tears in the eyes of cute Tomino.

nakeyo, uguisu, hayashi no ame ni
Cry, bush warbler, toward the raining forest

    imouto koishi to koe kagiri.
He shouts that he misses his little sister.

nakeba kodama ga jigoku ni hibiki,
The crying echo reverberates throughout Hell,

kitsune botan no hana ga saku.
    The fox penoy blooms.

    jigoku nanayama nanatani meguru,
Circling around Hell's seven mountains and seven streams,

    kawaii tomino no hitoritabi.
The lonely journey of cute Tomino.

    jigoku gozaraba mote kite tamore,
If they're in Hell bring them to me,

hari no oyama no tomehari wo.
    The needle of the graves.

akai tomehari date ni wa sasanu,
I won't pierce with the red needle,

    kawaii tomino no mejirushini.
In the milestones of little Tomino.

Well I read the whole thing in 日本語 I even fixed the improper particle spellings. And I have to say immediately afterward I finished I got a numbing sensation in the back of my neck and behind my where my heart is. I must say I am also a little bit dizzy and my sight is not working too well. Kind of thinking I shouldn't have fixed the particles. But whatever I'm not dead so I'm hitting send. but for those of you that want to read it correctly remember any time it says Wo, you pronounce that as o not wo.

Srsly people, the curse only works if you read it aloud in Japanese because it's original language only works and was written in that. English no does not work. So don't read it in English or in-mind, read it aloud and in Japanese if you can stand it. But either way I recommend not reading it because who knows that it might be real.

Just finished reading it. I'm feeling alright.

I call bullshit but I don't want to risk it lol
All you people saying that something hurt you after reading this out loud, it's normal, if you think that something bad will happen after doing a certain something, but nothing actually does, then out of fear, your body will react of its own volition and trigger a fear reaction. I don't have scientific proof, but this always happens to me, like I'm convinced something bad's gonna happen after I do something, but when nothing does, I get so afraid that I start feeling sick and woozy and shit.
      8/10. Bye.

Cause it’s ya know, 3:13 in the morning.
I’ll be just fine. Only reason why I probably wouldn’t get on is because I don’t have notifications for this wikia. I do have notifications for my YouTube channels. ^.^
In case anyone responds to me, asking if I’m dead or something, well, I will respond once I get a notification.
    • Jennikifm
I read this out loud. And I feel just fine. Lol
Thank God. ^.^ only thing is, I’m feeling sleepy. XD

I wonder what is the connection between this picture and the Tomino's Hell poem itself.
      TominoNoJigokuPortrait
I wonder who drew this. And wonder if the creepy girl is actually Tomino herself. I heard a rumor that Tomino was still a young little girl at an elementary age. But this picture shows a matured girl with a notable cleavage size that surely indicates she already went through her puberty stage.
      • KonoShipsKomaFessor
that painting was originally called "あたしはもうお嫁にいけません", since i don't know the actual english translate of the painting but there's also some 'info' somewhere i found. since it's in japanese, but hopely try to translate them, [[1]] or [[2]] .
the painting also pretty-known part of those japanese "do not search" keywords
i'm not sure why or what it relates to tomino's hell, but i don't think so, since those link i got didn't got any mention of tomino's
      • Ricky Reynaldi
I just finished exploring one of the links you gave, and here's what I got after I switched its language from Japanese to English.
        Screenshot 2018-07-04-15-56-41-015 com.android.chrome
The painting was called "あたしはもうお嫁にいけません" which actually translates "I don't want to bride anymore" in English. It was painted by Yuko Tachima in 1999.
The long-necked creepy-looking eyed woman depicted in the painting above is revealed not to be Tomino. Instead, she was a woman who died from mental illness after being raped by someone, putting her into a heavy trauma that possibly leads her to end her life because she didn't want to be forced as a bride for a man who raped her. It's kinda creeped me a bit because this is actually one of the paintings that we shouldn't try to search in the internet, possibly because of the urban legends haunting around in the painting.
      • BloodyWinterRose
Means “I can not bride anymore” in the English translation
    • Reptiny
Forget the urban legend, this beautiful poem gives me a really desolate, sad feeling.
